Issue when using Voobly to play multiplayer
I've got the original AOM and Titans expansion installed on my computer. Had them for years. Recently got bored so decided to replay them, but realised I didn't have the CD (at university and left them back home). I downloaded a no-cd crack and it worked perfectly, so I now want to play online.
I found out about the extended edition. I was going to buy it but decided that I'd torrent it to see if it was worth it (mainly to make sure the multiplayer worked, because I'd heard bad things about it lagging).
Downloaded Voobly, tried to join the AOM Titans lobby but my game was in the wrong folder. I had to move it across and rename it to just 'Age of Mythology', removing the 'Extended Edition' from the name. Downloaded the patch, attempted to host a test game and after launching, the initial AOM screen appears with the error message:
'Error - Unable to license library (EBUEulax.dll)'.
Now onto the questions. First off, apologies if I'm missing something which is dead obvious. I have a feeling that the game just isn't going to work in this situation, so will Voobly work at all with the extended edition, or is it only compatible with the original ones?
If it will work, is it actually worth trying to play the extended edition online, or am I better off with my original Titans edition?
If I should use the original edition, is it going to work with the no-cd crack or am I going to have to wait to pick up my CDs?
If it makes a difference, the EE would only run if I ran it as an administrator.
Wasn't sure about asking this (with the torrent and all) but I've seen a few people on here mentioning torrents so went ahead.
